A light-filled kitchen turned toward the garden, built around long sightlines, quiet materials, and room to gather.
Project Introduction
The best feature of the house was outside the window. The kitchen simply didn't face it. We turned the room toward the lawn. The working side of the kitchen now looks out over the garden instead of a wall. Tall storage moved to the inner walls, leaving the outer edge free for light. Pale timber, honed stone, and a restrained palette let the view do the work. Morning light reaches the counter first. By evening, the room opens outward and the gathering follows.
A kitchen shaped by its view, where everyday routines unfold in natural light.

Project Overview
The brief was simple: more light, a closer connection to the garden, and a kitchen that could host without feeling crowded. We reworked the plan around the windows, gathering appliances and storage into a single composed wall of cabinetry so the rest of the room could stay open. Every surface was chosen to age gracefully and to sit quietly beside the greenery outside.
Rather than treating these needs individually, the new design brings them together through a clear architectural composition.
